Wrag Barn celebrates with the Coronation Cup
Anyone watching the weather forecast for the Coronation Bank Holiday Monday would be justified in predicting an absolute washout, but in the end the rain stayed away until late afternoon and the competition went ahead.
The format of a stableford waltz meant that the pressure was off for anyone feeling the after effects of a busy weekend and 32 couples joined forces in groups of 4 for the 18 holes of fun and the odd good shot.
The crowning glory to the afternoon was a delicious cream tea with bubbly and the dress code was a gold paper crown.
Congratulations to the winning team of: Scott and Alison Talbert and Shaun and Tracey Judd who won by miles and thank you to everyone who worked hard behind the scenes to organise the afternoon. Special mention to Shaun Judd who came up with the idea, Jenny Stenhouse for presenting the prizes and the catering staff for the delicious tea – more importantly thank you to everyone who took part.
