We’ve got a date – not as early as we hoped and some wags have pointed out that you can visit your Mother in law before you can play golf, but it’s in the diary.
Now the countdown has started and the rain has stopped; we can work towards presenting the course at its optimistic springtime best on 29th March.
I’ll post pictures as the work progresses and Tracey will write regular updates on the app.
We’ve engaged a new Golf Course Consultant called Chris Haspell, who will be advising us as we continue to develop the course. He paid a visit to Wrag Barn in February and plans to come back in May to spend a couple of days understanding what goes on under the surface. I’m sure we’ll get on well as he is full of knowledge with the vocabulary to explain things clearly. He’s been around for long enough to understand what golfers are looking for and if you want to know more – his website is https://www.chrishaspell.com/
One potential area of conflict is that he likes to get on a digger – Tim is twitchy!
Another new addition to the green keeping community is Rhys who has joined us this week and can be spotted on the bunkerraker. Thank you Jack for all your help during the past 12 months and good luck in your new career.
Lastly – the planning permission. Well, all I can tell you is that the application is in and we’ll have to wait and see. Tim and I have got a list of capital investment jobs we want to do at Wrag Barn if we get the permission and it’ll take a little longer to fund them if we don’t.
Keep an eye on the app for updates from Tracey and thank you so much to everyone in the Wrag Barn community for all your support and loyalty during the past 12 months.
Looking forward to seeing you soon
Verity
Welcome Rhys
